Can you wind my yarn?

Yes, we can.  You can ask us to do this in the ‘Notes and special instructions’ section during the checkout.  We would be more than happy to help! The service is free of charge.

PLEASE NOTE: if you request your skein or hank to be made into a ball it will no longer be refundable. 

How do I cancel an order?

Please contact us as soon as you wish to cancel the order. If it has not been dispatched we will cancel and refund your order. If it has already been dispatched you will have to return the unwanted items to us.

Why does my ball of yarn have a knot in it?

Yarn manufacturers do their best to minimise the number of joins or knots in a ball of yarn, but they do crop up occasionally. Joins or knots are generally more common in natural fiber yarn than acrylic yarn, so can come as a surprise if a knitter of crocheter has recently switched from acrylic to a natural fibre yarn. Joins or knots do not mean thee yarn is faulty. However, if you have large number on joins or particularly ‘knotty’ ball, please contact us, and we will do our best to arrange for a replacement.

Are your colours accurate in photos?

We do everything we can to accurately represent the products we carry. Products are photographed in natural light or lighting equipment that simulates natural light. We do not use photoshop or other photo enhancing software to manipulate colours.

Will my yarn order come from the same dye lot?

We try to fill all yarn orders with a uniform dye lot. If we don’t have the quantity you ordered in a single dye lot, we will contact you to see what you would like to do. If it is a regularly stocked yarn, we can usually back order the yarn and fill your order when new stock arrives so that the quantity you ordered can be filled from one dye lot. If the yarn is a closeout, or is dyed in small batches, this isn’t always possible.

If my order contains a backorder, when will the other items in my order ship?

Orders that have a backorder listed together with other items will shipp all together when the backordered item arrives. If you would like us to split the order, please let us know by sending an e-mail to: info [at] betteryarnstore.com

When will my order be shipped?

Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, orders are normally processed within 2 business days from the date the order is placed and payment is received. We aim to ship the orders which are paid before 13:00 (CET+1) the same day. All other orders will be shipped the next business day. Business days are Mondays through Fridays, except for holidays.

Immediately after placing your order on www.betteryarnstore.com you will receive an order confirmation e-mail (with all the details for a bank transfer). You’ll receive another e-mail when we send your order to you.

What if my order still has not arrived?

International Orders – Delivery Schedule

International orders are usually delivered within 10-14 working days, though can sometimes take longer. Regrettably, we have no control over how long the international postal system will take to deliver you order.

International Orders – Import Duties and Taxes

You may have to pay import duties and taxes, which are levied once a package reaches your country. Any local duties, taxes or customs charges assessed by your government are your responsibility. You must meet any additional charges for custom clearance. Please note, customs policies vary widely from country to country. Charges for customs clearance and import duties must be borne by you; we have absolutely no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. We recommend you contact your local customs office for further information prior to placing your order. Please also note, international shipments may be subject to cross-border inspections by customs authorities.

International Orders – Tax Charges

Orders sent to Belgium or EU include VAT. Orders sent outside of the EU are VAT free.
